Hi Deniborin
Great post, as I'm also interested in ethnography but I'd like to suggest reconsideration of the definition or meaning of the Greek word "logos" as "science." The term logos was thought to be first coined by one of the most famous and controversial ancient Greek philosophers, lived from 570 to 490 BCE, "Pythagoras."
Logos conveys "reasoning, order, logic and verbally expressing it, in my opinion from my word study. Even though, I agree with you that the term science has been or can be applied. No doubt it is applicable but the Gk. word for logos has so much more meaning than the English.
